Reykjavik, Iceland – Advania Data Centers (ADC) today announced the industry’s first HPC cloud service based on Intel Xeon Platinum 9200 processors. This combination provides unprecedented performance and application compatibility, enabling customers to gain faster time to insights with HPC workloads in finance, weather, satellite, manufacturing, and artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
ADC’s HPC cloud service will be powered by the Intel® Select Solution for HPC & AI Converged Clusters, enabling workload-optimized performance and seamless compatibility of current and future HPC workloads between on-premise and ADC cloud service.
Many organizations rely on on-premise HPC capabilities to meet critical computing needs. However, many companies have discovered an opportunity to accelerate time to market, increase employee productivity, grow revenue and solve difficult problems by taking advantage of HPC on demand via ADC’s cloud instance. ADC’s HPC cloud offering allows users to seamlessly tap into additional high-performance compute capacity on-demand, to produce results efficiently and cost effectively.
“By deploying an Intel Select Solution for HPC, we were able to quickly deliver a high performance HPC cloud service with broad application compatibility for our customers,” said Jon Thor Kristinsson, CTO of HPC as a Service at Advania Data Centers. “Intel’s Cluster Checker tool helps us validate system health and compatibility, simplifying the deployment of customer software and delivering a predictable, high-quality experience.”
“We are pleased that Advania is providing this new HPC as a Service offering powered by Intel Xeon Platinum 9200 series processors as part of an Intel Select Solutions configuration,” said Bill Magro, Intel Fellow and Chief Technologist, High Performance Computing. “Customers will appreciate the performance and seamless compatibility of this offering on a broad set of existing and emerging HPC and AI workloads.”
This service offering will combine ADC’s expertise in efficiently operating 100% renewable energy HPC datacenters with Intel’s computing technology. Customers will benefit from unparalleled computing performance and easy to use converged HPC and AI solutions. For ISVs, this solution delivers on the promise of certifying against one single set of criteria and get assurance on hybrid delivery.
